Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and MBNYHG Studios LLC for your use of ReturnPass. Using ReturnPass means you accept them. They are meant to be read, so they are short.
What ReturnPass is
ReturnPass helps you keep track of retail returns. With your permission it reads the emails retailers send you about returns, gives each return a short number to write on the box, and shows you the drop-off code at the counter.
What ReturnPass is not
- We are not the retailer, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for any retailer. We do not process returns, ship anything, handle your money or issue refunds. The return is between you and the retailer, under that retailer's own policy.
- We never ask for your retailer password and we cannot act on your behalf with a retailer.
- We are not a reminder you can rely on. See the next section, which is the most important one on this page.
ReturnPass is best-effort, and the returns stay yours
ReturnPass reads mail that retailers write, in formats they change without telling anyone. It will sometimes miss a return, read one wrongly, or fail to warn you in time. Email can be delayed or not arrive at all, and a mailbox connection can lapse.
You remain responsible for your own returns and deadlines. Treat ReturnPass as help, not as the record. We do not promise that every return is found, that every detail is right, or that any reminder arrives — and we are not responsible for a refund you do not receive.
Who may use it
You must be 18 or older and able to enter into this agreement. ReturnPass is offered in the United States.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Connecting a mailbox
If you connect an email account, you confirm it is yours or that you are allowed to connect it. Access is read-only, ReturnPass opens only mail from the retailers it works with, and you can withdraw it at any time from inside the app or from your email provider's own settings. What we read, what we keep and for how long is in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
Using it fairly
Do not use ReturnPass to break the law or a retailer's policy, do not try to reach data that is not yours, and do not attack, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service. Do not resell it.
Availability and changes
ReturnPass may change, break, or stop, and we may add, remove or alter features without notice. We do not promise it is available at all times or works without interruption.
Paying for ReturnPass
Your first returns are free. After that, new returns need a subscription. The price, how many returns are free and how often the subscription renews are shown in the app before you pay.
You buy it through Apple, and Apple charges you. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. To cancel, go to your iPhone's Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before it renews. Deleting your ReturnPass account does not cancel it.
If you cancel, you keep what you paid for until the end of that period. After that, returns that already have a number keep working until they are done. New returns wait for a number until you subscribe again.
Refunds go through Apple, under Apple's rules, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue them ourselves.
Apple
We license the ReturnPass app to you under Apple's standard license for App Store apps. These terms are between you and MBNYHG Studios LLC, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for ReturnPass.
Who owns what
The service, its software, name and design are ours. Your returns and your mail are yours; you give us only the permission we need to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Stopping
You can stop at any time. To delete your account, open Account in the app and tap Delete account. Your account and its returns are deleted at once. If you can't open the app, write to support@returnpass.com and we will do it for you. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel that in your iPhone's Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or close the service down, and we will give what notice we reasonably can.
Disclaimer and limits
ReturnPass is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for a refund, a fee or a deadline you missed.
If you break these terms or the law while using ReturnPass, and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you will cover our reasonable costs of that claim.
Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amounts you have paid for ReturnPass and US$100. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as that place allows.
Changes to these terms
We will update this page when the terms change, and the date at the top is the last substantive change. Continuing to use ReturnPass after a change means you accept it. If you do not, stop using it and ask us to delete your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. A dispute about them goes to the state or federal courts in Ohio, except that either of us may bring a claim in small claims court where you live.
